Both run high-speed passenger catamarans with a travel time of approximately one hour. The Steamship Authority also runs a traditional car-and-passenger ferry, with a 2 ¼ hour cruise time. Took the ferry from Hyannis Port to Martha's Vineyard, from MV to Nantucket, and then from Nantucket back to Hyannis Port. So much faster than the Steamship Authority ferry. Had good experiences on all trips.
